Tips and fixes

Reels are saved as MP4

A reel is delivered as an MP4 video, so that is what you save. This tool does not convert it to another format or separate the audio into its own file. It also does not add quality the source upload did not have. Pick from the resolutions shown; a larger size does not recover detail that was never recorded.

A profile link lists the latest reels

Paste a public profile link to see a grid of its most recent posts, including reels, then tap one to get its download link. The grid shows only the latest few items, not the full history, and only while the profile stays public. Private profiles are not supported, and reposting still needs the creator's permission.

What this tool does not do

It cannot save reels from private accounts, and it cannot fetch stories or highlights, which are not available to a logged-out request. Pasting a link again does not change that. Only download reels you created or have the owner's permission to save, and get permission before reusing someone else's clip.

Find the saved reel

If the MP4 opens in a new tab, use your browser's save option: a long press on a phone, a right click on a computer. Look in the browser's downloads list or your device's Downloads folder before checking a gallery app. Keep the .mp4 extension when you rename the file.
